Is red or blue right for you – or something in between? The award-winning stylist will advise you on how to find the most beautiful colors for yourself.
Emmy – winning stylist David Zyla believes that the right colored clothes bring out just the best of anyone . The stylist who also wrote the book on the subject reveals how to find the right, most flattering shades for his clients .
– I believe that the “palette” is already within us . By looking closely at the natural shades of your hair, skin and eyes, you will find the colors that look most beautiful to you, Zyla says .
Zyla believes that you can get hints about the most suitable colors by just observing your own preferences .
– For example, the shade of your favorite eyeshadow or eyeliner would probably work great in clothes as well, Zyla suggests .
However, if your own taste is questionable, try these tips to define your color palette .
1 . Your sexy color, or the best red
The romantic color, for example, is a certain seductive red .
– However, not everyone looks good in bright red, but a shade of pink or even an apricot may be better for them, Zyla advises .
You can get an idea of the many shades of red from the lipstick department of the cosmetics store, where you can find shades of red ranging from pink to burgundy, coral, rust as well as shades of orange .
Zyla advises to squeeze the fingertip and see what kind of red hue rises to it .
– Compare the color of your fingertips with the shades of red, and so you will find out the right red for you .
2 . Your dramatic color that catches your eye
Zyla calls a color that attracts attention as a dramatic color . In practice, it is either blue, green, or purple, as the stylist determines it based on the tone of the blood vessels heard from inside the wrist .
– Peek at your wrist : the color closest to the tone of your veins is your dramatic color .
3 . Your neutral tone, ie the best everyday color
According to Zyla, the most suitable neutral shade for you can be found in your hair .
– The darkest shade of the natural color of your hair is the right neutral for you . However, look closely : even if you consider your hair to be brown, for example, it may be that its darker shade is nuanced to something else .
4 . Your version in black
Many consider black an easy credit color, but according to Zyla, it is too harsh a color for many – that is, anything but flattering .
– You can find the dark credit color by looking at the outer edge of the iris of your eyes . It’s your version of black, meaning a more celebratory neutral shade that is always a safe choice . The darker shade of the iris, on the other hand, is a more mundane credit color that suits you .
5 . Your calm color
From eye color, Zyla also picks up a calm shade to complement her customers ’color range .
– Look closely at the lightest shade in the iris of your eyes : it can be anything from pale yellow to light blue
.
